I’ve read many articles and seen real life examples (some from my own life/relationships) that after the “honeymoon stage” ends, relationships are either made or broken. Once real life sets back in and you realize there are other people in the world than your sweetie, many couples find it difficult to be together because they realize that maybe they weren’t as perfect for each other as they once thought. It may have been that one person overlooked a lot of flaws that they started to be able to see, or some other deal breaker may have occurred.
My fiance and I had the great opportunity to start living together pretty soon into our relationship and two months into our engagement, the walking-on-air-no-one-else-exists phase is over. We’ve also learned that we’ll get on each others nerves from time-to-time living together but that we are more than capable than handling it.
Our wedding date is set for March 20, 2015 (after he has his accounting degree). I’ve already gotten my wedding dress picked out and have begun paying on it. I’ve never been happier!
